Ripple Placemaking Grant 2024
"ShareLOVE.Recieve LOVE" was a textile public art display and activity that sparked shared joy between strangers. This program was imagined and executed by Sheeba in partnership with the car-free neighborhood, Tempe Culdesac.
This textile art display showcased a collage of denim pocket cut-outs at Culdesac Tempe’s Lil Cholla Market. All ages were invited to:
Select a jean pocket from the textile wall
Decorate the jean pocket
Typewrite an anonymous encouraging note to "Share LOVE"
Return this jean art & message to the textile wall
A stranger is invited to chose a pocket from the textile wall to "Receive LOVE"
