Ripple Placemaking Grant 2022-23
This Creative Academy grant supports collaborations between artists and businesses to activate space and engage the community. Sheeba was awarded funds to support her Community Denim Mosaic program.
This event was FREE including local food & all supplies. Sheeba created and facilitated this community program at Ke’ Community Lab in Mesa, Arizona. Each guest painted one denim mosaic piece. Each piece was later sewn into a larger fabric canvas by Sheeba. The 6ft x 5ft community denim mosaic was gifted to the local Navajo family owned restaurant - Hope’s Frybread. Hope's Frybread was the partner and caterer for this project.
