Positivity Keychain – A mobile movement of community, encouragement and the arts.

The Positivity Keychain invited West Valley residents and the larger Arizona community to speak encouraging messages at a public

pop-up exhibit.

These authentic voice notes became a digital community audiobook full of positivity. A QR code on custom “keychains” were freely distributed to attendees, offering the opportunity to access or share kindness whenever uplifting messages are needed.

Recording exhibit featured at Buckeye Senior Center in Arizona’s West Valley. â€‹â€‹

"ShareLOVE.Recieve LOVE" was a textile public art display and activity that sparked shared joy between strangers.

The textile art display showcased a collage of denim pocket cut-outs at Culdesac Tempe’s Lil Cholla Market. All ages were invited to select a pocket, decorate it and TYPEWRITE an anonymous encouraging note that a stranger would later choose.

Ripple Creative Placemaking Grant 2022-2023

Community Denim Mosaic was the first of its kind. This event was FREE: including local food & all supplies for a community art project hosted at Ke’ Community Lab in Mesa, Arizona. Each guest painted a piece of denim art. Each piece was later sewn into a larger fabric canvas, revealing ONE beautiful and vibrant mosaic.

The final piece was dedicated to the local Navajo family owned restaurant - Hope’s Frybread.

INTERNATIONAL MINTZ GRANT 2018

The Garifuna People are believed to be descendants of Africans being transported to the U.S. that were never "enslaved" due to a transit shipwreck. African survivors of this shipwreck intermixed with the natives of St. Vincent &

surrounding areas, becoming the Garifuna Peoples known today. This grant supported travels to Punta Gorda, Belize, an intimate glimpse into a dear friend's Garifuna family, their history and the sacred Barranco village.

This project marked the start of my grants and film journey. Animator: KE Animation
